Housing Europe
Belgium
Housing Europe is the European Federation of Public, Cooperative and Social Housing. Established in 1988, it is a network of 46 national and regional federations which together gather about 43,000 public, social and cooperative housing providers in 25 countries. Altogether they manage around 25 million homes.
Launched in 2004, the Observatory is the research branch of Housing Europe and overall a point of reference for facts and figures around housing in Europe. The role of the Observatory is to identify and analyse key trends in the field of housing and social housing across Europe in its publications, providing strategic advice and evidence base for policymaking. It’s also in charge of liaising and working with research institutions and international agencies/networks on housing related themes, including the European Network for Housing Research.
