Eduardo de Miguel

Eduardo De Miguel is Professor in Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. He is an architect from Navarra University and a Ph.D. from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He completed his background with a grant for the Spanish Government to research at the Royal Spanish Academy in Rome. He has been teaching architecture at undergraduate and postgraduate levels since 1990. He has led large academic units and currently manages the Ceramic Studies Department sponsored by the Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association (ASCER), been the editor of the website www.ceramicarchitectures.com, a database specialized in buildings where ceramics are used as the main material in the design.

He has led more than 20 professional commissions for public administration's (national, regional, and local). His projects have been recognized at the Biennale di Architettura di Venezia, the European Prize for Urban Public Space or the European Prize for Cultural Heritage, and have been published in magazines such as El Croquis, Detail, Architectural Record or Architecture d’Aujourd’ hui, and in international publications such as Landscape Architecture Now! by Taschen or The Phaidon Atlas of 21st Century World Architecture.
