Jean-Cristophe Dissart

Co-supervisor ESR15

is full professor and director of the Institute of Planning and Alpine Geography (IUGA, in French), University Grenoble Alps, France. Beside his administrative duties, he teaches two methods courses to help students prepare their Master’s thesis, and a course on tourism and regional dynamics. His research interests lie in local development, socio-spatial inequality, amenities, quality of life and well-being issues, particularly as assessed via Sen’s capability approach. His latest book, “Local resources, territorial development and well-being”, was co-edited with IUGA colleague Natacha Seigneuret, and published in 2020 by Edward Elgar.
