The research group has wide experience in comparative research of housing policies and initiatives in particular for affordable housing. The focus is on institutions and systems in the field of housing and in particular on how to make them socially, financially and environmentally future proof.
Marja Elsinga has more than 30 years’ experience in teaching housing in different disciplines, leading international research projects and membership of editorial boards. She has a wide experience in giving keynote lectures across the world and being member of supervisory and advisory boards. Finally, she has experience in housing practice and is an advocate of connecting academia and housing practice.
